Claire Schneider is an independent curator living in Buffalo, New York. She was Associate Curator of Contemporary Art for ten years at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, where she co-organized “Extreme Abstraction” (2005). Her 2013 exhibition “More Love: Art, Politics, and Sharing since the 1990s” for the Ackland Art Museum at UNC-Chapel Hill won an American Association of Museum Curators Award for Best Exhibition. In 2013, Schneider founded CS1 Projects to commission new work, often collaborative, with a focus on public art, social practice and performance.
